The film is set in a future where a friendly alien race called the Boov invades Earth in order to escape their mortal enemy. Led by the overconfident and well-intentioned Captain Smek, the Boov relocate all humans to a designated area and begin to reshape the planet to suit their needs.



The story revolves around a young Boov named Oh, voiced by Jim Parsons. Oh is known for being different from the rest of the Boov, often finding himself in comical and awkward situations. Despite his good intentions, his actions inadvertently cause problems for the Boov community.



Oh accidentally sends out invitations to the entire galaxy for a housewarming party at his new home, which happens to be on Earth. This alerts the Boov's enemies, the Gorg, to their location. In an attempt to avoid repercussions from Captain Smek, Oh goes on the run and encounters a human girl named Tip, voiced by Rihanna, who managed to avoid capture and relocation.



Tip and Oh form an unlikely alliance as they embark on a journey to find Tip's mother and, in the process, discover the true meaning of home. Along the way, they face various challenges and learn valuable lessons about friendship, understanding, and acceptance.



The film combines humor, heartwarming moments, and vibrant animation to deliver a family-friendly adventure that explores themes of acceptance and the importance of embracing differences. "Home" received positive reviews for its entertaining story, engaging characters, and visually appealing animation.
